Badkhal Lake at Badkhal Village

A splendid lake retreat lake retreat. A bastion of pleasure. A spot to holiday. Strange though it may seem, the lake is fringed by hills - 32 km from Delhi. A man made embankment holds back the waters of the lake making it a perfect spot for water sport. Come winter and flocks of bird descend upon it. Here is an ornithologist's delight. But more so, Badkhal delights with its accommodation wings. View of the lake, its serenity.
The rooms on the first floor have their own balconies. On the ground floor is a tiny garden. Just for a chair or two, from where Badkhal Lake spreads out - for into the distance. Monsoon streams and rivulets have grooved the face of the august Aravalli Hills. One one such inlet rest the twin Minivet Huts. Small, Cosy, Compact, Complete with two bedrooms, Drawing Room, Kitchenette and a Little Garden. On request the private jetty gets a boat for a pleasurable evening. On similar spurs stand the Grey Falcon and Majur restaurants. Each with its own ambience. Each with its own cuisine. Badkhal has also been provided with a compact and cosy Bath complex. The swimming pool has a decorated water feature, a sauna chamber and massage units. A luxury yacht ride is not an impossibility over the placid waters of the lake. One weekends and holidays, the crowds collect at Badkhal. The embankment bristles with sellers of snack flood. The playground fills up. Badkhal is also providing the essential services of a filling station and a bank extension counter.

Magpie at Faridabad

Industry and faridabad seems inseparable. Catering to both, is Magpie complex. On the National Highway Number 2 Magpie is compact. Lively Dabchik at Hodal

Dabchik at Hodal is a lively complex on the Delhi-Agra highway, some 92 km from Delhi. Dabchick stands in a 14 acre area, in which a variety of attractions have been built. A rolling effect is set off by the landscape treatment given to the area. In its limited enclosure, camper huts for budget tourists, camper cottages on stilts, air-conditioned accommodation in a motel, restaurant, bar conference and gift shop facilities have all been provided. A small lake lies behind the motel, where boating is possible. Animals for joy rides like an elephant, a camel and at times a pony are an integral part of the set-up. Fourteen friendly geese, one might find roaming all over the lawns, as residents of the complex. An occasionally, a snake charmer visiting the complex, may seem a surprise that is deeply fascinating Teej, festival of the rainy season, is a time for special celebrations. On the boughs of trees, rope swings attractions both local and urban visitors. Groups of women decorate henna designs on each others hands, sing songs of joy and pray for happiness in the family. Haryana Tourism celebrates the festival with special eatables, coloured lights, taped music and animals specially brought for joy rides.
